What Causes Vaginal Spotting Inspite Of Taking Duphaston During Pregnancy?
Hi,Im 7 weeks pregnant. Before I had one miscarriage (continuous spotting, no HB at 7 weeks, came out the next day) and a biochemical. Now I started spotting brown which seems to increase. Yesterday I had an US, which revealed the HB and no reason for bleeding. Examination showed the spotting is coming from the uterus, not the cervix. I was prescribed Duphaston 40mg initial intake, then 10mg every 8 hours. I started it but the spotting is still here. How much time does it take for Duphaston to stop the spotting? If it doesnt stop what can be other reasons if the US is fine? BTW, it is NOT in the due time of periods. Thanks a lot.

Duphaston is a progesterone hormone preparation. Non stoppage of bleeding after the dose given indicates-
-Change in dose of hormone (increase)
-avoid physical &psychological stress (bed rest in most cases).
*Consult your gynecologist, get examined(USG) & get needful advise.
