Hello,

Sometimes, penetrative sex may cause bleeding after intercourse. If you want to know or rule out pregnancy, you can go for home pregnancy test. You don't need to see a gynecologist only for vaginal spotting. If you bleed heavily or bleeding won't stop even after 3 days, then you may contact a gynecologist. Vaginally bleeding post intercourse doesn't always mean pregnancy. So please don't worry and just go for kit test at home.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
