General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Spotting between the periods is called 'inter-menstrual bleeding' or 'metrorrhagia'.
The cause could be due to hormonal imbalance, infection or neoplasms .
To know what could be the cause, kindly get the following tests done:
1. Blood levels of FSH, LH and Prolactin.
2. Ultrasound scan of abdomen and pelvis.
Kindly consult Gynecologist with the reports for appropriate evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
