What Causes Vaginal Spotting While On Marvelon Pills?

I started Marvelon 28 on Sunday (taken 4 pills) was previously on tricyclen 21 for about 10 years (recently experiencing some breakthrough spotting on that, hence the switch. I am now experiencing symptoms of anxiety (increased heart rate, difficulty catching my breath) and well as feeling like I could burst into tears, usual life stressors are present but my resources/skills to manage seem depleted with this new mood sensitivity. Could this be attributed to the change in contraceptive pill? Should I consider switching again?

Hi,

Yes, all your symptoms are mostly due to change in contraceptive pills. Your symptoms are mostly due to hormonal imbalance. So better to consult gynaecologist and get done a clinical examination and hormone levels. You are might need specific hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once your hormones normalize, you will be alright.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
