What Causes Vaginal Spotting With Tender Breasts?

Good evening doctor, I have a proble, for the past 10 days I have been spotting it's a brown red colour, my periods aren't due for another week yet and I have also ovary pain, this spotting also seems to smell quite bad and my breasts seem to be very tender. could I have an infection?
