What Causes Vaginal Tampon Insertions Impossible?

Hi, I have been having inserting a tampon... I've tried several if not numerous times. Everytime I try I can get it in about an inch or so then it feels as if it's stuck. I can't push it in because it hurts and I have done research thinking it might be vaginismus, however, I didn't want to go to that conclusion just yet. I also was thinking it could possibly be my hymen which I had read about as well. I heard about the perforate hymen and the imperforate hymen and none of those sounds like the solution to my problem. I have wanted to go out and swim, considering it's summer and I've had many opportunities to go with friends and when opportunity comes a knocking, it's seems as if mother nature does too. I need help. Please. And thank you so much for your time!

Sincerely, Alexanne
