What Causes Variation In Body Temperature And Mood Swings?

My husband has strong weak spells very moody.also body temp vary ex.head will be red hot but arms hands and feet bitterly cold. Have been to doc all blood work is normal but something is defiently wrong. So can a you do test to check hypothalmus which controls body temp or what can it be. When he gets sudden weak speels color goes grey to pale white please give advice
