What Causes Vasovagal Syncope With Neck Soreness And Stiffness, Sweating And Vomiting?

Last night I was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with an episode of vagal syncope. Just before the episode I had been massaging my neck which was sore and stiff. I passed out and came to with cold sweats and vomiting. All tests showed only one elevated cardiac enzyme with normal ekg etc. Can massaaging in the area of the vegas nerve cause this? What else can trigger this?
