I am a 43 year old female, I have been sufferings with chronic migraine since 2011. The system were treated by medication, but has not had any relief in the past two years. I am taking Botox treatments for the past 4 years and now it do not seem to be holing. I am experiencing chronic vertigo, dizziness, vision change, balance difficulty and a strange sound in my head.. My Neurologist has tried several medication, I am taking Vestibular Therapy but still not getting better . I am at a lost as to what should be my next step for treatment. I have v=been out of work since 2/217 due to a fall because my loss of balance, I am having difficulty driving due to the motion of the car. what can be done now. I do not have any quality life .
As per your query vertigo along with dizziness can occur due to many reasons like middle ear infection , Meniere's disease. You should not ignore this , because sometimes the condition get complicated. i would suggest you to start with antibiotics, steroids , antiemetic drugs and labrynthine sedatives for 5 to 7 weeks. you should go for vestibular rehabilitation exercises. You should consult with your ENT specialist and get evaluated. Doctor may order audiometry test and tuning fork test and treat it accordingly. Avoid touching and pricking it with any sharp object , drink green tea with ginger , which act as antiemetic , do exercises like yoga and meditation and try to make yourself stress free .
