is there a medication I can take for Vertigo. My Mother has this and I just experienced it for the first time on Friday the 4th of Nov. 7:30 am I woke up with the room spinning VERY fast - all I could do was lay down with my eyes closed - I vomited 4 times that day and it did not end until 11:00 pm that night. I know what it is due to being with my Mother through her episodes of this. She does get a med called Meclizine 25mg. She says this stops the spinning in about 20 min. I also know about the procedure for rolling my neck and lying on my side and getting up - I went thru this with her and a therapist. I want to STOP the spinning as soon as possible - sleeping all day and vomiting is not the answer. Could I take a Motion sickness pill like Bomine or any of the other over the counter meds for this or are they not strong enough????
