What Causes Vertigo And UTI In An Elderly Person?

My mother is 93 and had a urinary tract infection last year, she spent a week in hospital then 3 weeks in a rehab hospital. She doesn t seem to be able to get her strength back and has developed vertigo problems. She just can t get over it long enough to do much. She stays in bed most of the time. She also gets confused at times, not often but enough to bother me. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that all problems she is having might be due to age.
Generalized weakness and vertigo might be due to problem of orthostatic hypotension and some senile atrophy of brain due to less cerebral circulation causing this problem.
Give her well nourishid food.
Ok and take care.
