Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern and following is my symptomatic approach towards my patient(s) with giddiness:
i. check with Blood pressure, neck movements, look for pallor and murmur
ii. Ask for cochlear symptoms [
deafness & tinnitus] & vestibular symptoms [
vertigo and nystagmus]
iii. As the doctor has done relevant tests, examination and then has prescribed you with anti vertigo drug
meclizine [also an anti emetic] so prophylactic measures which you can during your journey is/are:
- avoid sudden jerky movement of the head
- Cap Becosules: twice daily
- Tab complamina [Xanthinol nicotinate]: vasodilator drug 150 mg twice daily [with meals]
PS. ADR [adverse drug reaction] with meclizine are:
drowsiness, thickening of bronchial secretions,
dry mouth, fatigue, blurred vision
