What Causes Vertigo And Nausea Along With A History Of Hypertension?

my father is 65 with history of hypertension and thyroid. he is having vertigo and nausea. it has lasted a couple of hours already. he is unable to get up to go the the restroom. should i be concerned? what does he have? should he be rushed to the emergency room
