General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Since the symptoms lasts for only a few seconds and occur mainly when you get up from sleeping (change in position), it is possible that it is related to BPPV.

This stands for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. This type of vertigo lasts only a few seconds and occurs only with certain positions of the head.

It is treated by certain maneuvers eg Epley maneuver which can be done by your doctor.

I hope this helps
