What Causes Vertigo While Sitting Followed By Disorientation And Vomiting?

Hi, can I explain, I was feeling quit well although under tremendous stress then suddenly whilst sitting down I felt the room spinning, I felt hot and disorientated and then start to vomit. The ambulance came and I was examined. My BP was fine and blood sugar was fine also an EPG test, not quite sure what its called where you are wired up and monitored by a machine, was fine also. Could you please help, feeling quite scarred, Thx

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have vertigo while sitting followed by disorientation and vomiting . Well the symptoms you mention in query occur due to many reasons Low blood sugar and iron level , Some medications like anti-seizure drugs and antidepressants , Ear infection , Due to sonme medication , Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo , Meniere's disease and Migraine . Sometimes heart related problems like heart attack also have such symptoms , but you already rule out cardiac problems ad blood sugar level . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order certain tests like CT scan , blood test , rotatory chair test , posturography and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics (amoxxicillin or penicillin ) at least for 10 days and recommend vestibular therapy . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist .
