Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Typhoid fever may present like stepladder pattern. It may be also flare up of Hepatitis B infection with viral hepatitis. Both may cause generalized weakness and vertigo and giddiness. Drink plenty of oral fluids, use tablet Vertin thrice a day for five days. Check for anti HbE ag, viral load, liver function tests, etc. You may need anti viral drugs Etacavir, Lamivudine, or Telbivudine in case of viral activity. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
