What Causes Violent Shaking In The Hands?

My hands shake and I have asked my Dr but we do not know why. It is a lot worse if I am upset. It is worse in the morning and it is worse if I work hard. I find taking apicture, writing, reading a book and my fine motor skills are just not working like they should. I would like to know why?
