What Causes Voice Hoarseness And Swelling In The Left Chest Area?

Hi, I have been experiencing a horse voice for more than a month with difficulty swallowing and left chest swelling. My Dr. put me on GI product, then on inhalers, now sending me for blood test for thyroid. Should I be requesting a ENT to scope me. Till now I have felt perfectly healthy.

Hello,

Hoarseness of voice can be related to issue with your voice box or laryngeal nerve. An indirect laryngoscopy is of best importance to be carried out with your ENT specialist for further guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
