What Causes Voice Hoarseness While Experiencing Shortness Of Breath?
I get short of breath when speaking and become hoarse quickly when speaking. This shortness of breath is not present when exercising but is present with extended talking or lecturing. (I teach). I do have asthma that was diagnosed 33 years ago and controlled with prevention inhalers. I do notice that the symptoms appeared after I was switched from Advair to Symbicort.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have voice hoarseness while experiencing shortness of breath . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like acid reflux or allergic reaction like asthma . But in your case it also seems to me that the symptoms are due to lung infection. I would suggest you to take benadryl twice a day , avoid eating sea food , keep your self hydrated and eat light and non spicy . If condition persist or you experience difficulty in breathing then consult allergy specialist or pulmonologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may give adrenal short to prevent anaphylaxis and prescribe anti inflammatory along with immunosuppressants or antibiotics . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for acid reflux .
