What Causes Vomiting After Eating Along With Chest Tightness?

I have a friend who is 78 who continually throws up when she eats. She says she gets a tightening in her chest that causes this. She has had a cat scan of the throat but nothing. The doctor says she has acid reflex but she is thin, never drinks, never smokes and never eats heavily.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to conditions affecting lower part of esophagus( food pipe) like structure or tumor. Consult a Gastroenterology and plan for endoscopy. As of now stick to liquid based diet and take antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
