What Causes Vomiting After Gallbladder Removal?

Hi, had my gallbladder removed on the 11th of April, still experiencing vomiting of undigested foods that can be 5 minutes after eating up until 15 hours later, diarrhea (includes undigested food), pain on my right side, sometimes stabby and sharp, hives over my body, feeling full after only eating a little bit of food. The gallbladder had been functioning badly for over 2 years according to the surgeon. Just want to feel better.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As you have diarrhoea and vomiting, so it may be due to acute gastroenteritis.

I don't think that it is maybe due to surgery. Kindly consult with a physician, you may require antibiotics, tablet pantoprazole, tablet Ondansetron after consultation. Drink plenty of water. Keep your self-hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
