Hi,
Here are a few things you should know about that,
1) Amoxiclav which is a combination of
Amoxicillin and
Clavulanic Acid. This tablet itself cause abdominal discomfort, nausea and vomiting, we always prescribe a proton pump inhibitor like
Rabeprazole with Domperidone along when prescribing drugs that can cause an adverse gastrointestinal effect.
2) Zyrtec D rarely causes nausea its accounted in very few individuals.
3) It could be due to food poisoning or indigestion too.
Here are the few things you can do:
1) Try using OTC antacids like Aluminium/
Magnesium Hydroxide with
Simethicone.
2) In your case, I will go for a Domperidone an antiemetic and proton pump inhibitor combination to counteract nausea and an ulcer or indigestion.
3) Have soft bland diet, avoid spicy foods and non-vegetarian foods for a while.
4) Do not lay down immediately post meals.
Hope this helps if vomiting or nausea still persist, schedule an appointment with your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Moses John Wesley,
General & Family Physician
