I have a chest infection and have been prescribed amoxicillin with Calvulanic acid. I took one dose of it and it made me throw up repeatedly for many hours. Is there some way I can take this medicine with out causing me to vomit ? YYYY@YYYY

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to antibiotic induced gastritis. Amoxycillin should be taken after taking food. Also h2 blockers like ranitidine or proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole is usually advised to take while taking Amoxycillin. Taking these precautions will make you better. Hope this may help you.
