What Causes Vomiting After Taking Amyrel While Suffering From Diabetes?
Hi Doctor, my mother is diabetic and suffering from hemi-perisia for last couple of month she is taking Amyrel 2mg before meals...... today at night she vomitted and upon test her sugar was 213......Dad thinking earlier dose might has ooosed out in vomit......so has given another dose ......after the medicine......we tested sugar after 20 minutes..... went to 247........after another 30 minutes it is showing......231.........pls advice the next course
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Vomiting may not be caused by amaryl.Even if caused by amaryl, the glycemia will be within norm.That sounds more like a decompensation to be investigated.I will suggest you see the Doctor for evaluation.A urine dipstick test to look for ketones in urine will be helpful.With a History of hemi-paresis, her condition should not be taken lightly.She will need to have her glycemia under control, the cause of hemi-paresis investigated and a Physiotherapist hired for reeducation.I will advise you see the Doctor for evaluation.She may however take enough water.
