What Causes Vomiting After Taking Richar XT During Pregnancy?

Hello doctor am pregnant now and have been advised to take Richar XT tablets. I just took the first dosage today have been suffering from severe vomittongs and stomach ache. I am 14 weeks prenanat now. Is it safe to use this tablet during pregnancy? Pls advice.

Hi I think it is a side effect of richar XT tablet. It is an iron tablet which can lead to gastric irritation and thus vomiting and stomachache. You should stop this tablet. You can try some liquid iron preparation. You can wait for 2 to 3 weeks and restart the tablet. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
