What Causes Vomiting After Taking Antibiotics For Strep Throat?
My daughter started antibiotics for strep throat yesterday. The swelling has decreased but ups pockets have former and they are making her gag so she is vomiting. Is this a normal progression or is this a sign of something more serious? She does not have a primary care physician so she goes to urgent care when will.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that she is gagging due to pus pockets and infection .. Gradually as the infection will subside she will start feeling better.. As of now she should continue taking antibiotics and along with it take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.. Do warm saline gargles and steam inhalation.. Suck throat lozenges and chew Vitamin C pellet.. Avoid spicy and chilled foods.. In case of the symptoms does not improve in 3 to 4 days consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
