What Causes Vomiting And Diarrhea Along With Rashes On The Arms And Hips?

My daughter in law is 25, yesterday she was vomiting and had diarrhea which resolved but today she is still nauseous and broke out in welts bilaterally on her arms, hips. The welts itch, they improved with Benadryl this afternoon but have noe returned. She has a history of rather odd reactions to cold, heat and bug bites, any thoughts if the welts are related to yesterday s illness or possibly two separate issues?

Vomiting and/or diarrhea can be related to viral or bacterial infection of the gastrointestinal tract. Viral infections are common and they can be associated with viral exanthem which is a rash that can occur with viral illnesses. This means that it can occur with her vomiting/diarrhea and with cough/colds. In most cases the rash disappears along with the other symptoms or within a few days after.
