What Causes Vomiting And Diarrhea?

My wife has been vomiting and had disentry for 3 days , she has had a sore tummy and thought it may have been some food poisoning , however now she has pain on her right side I believe that is in her kidney area , she also feels very week , what do you think this is ?

Hi,
If she is not having any fever and pin is berable, you are right it is possible to have gastrointestinal infection.
Give her plenty of oral liquids - fruit juices, water, oral rehydration solution.
She have to take curd/yogurt around 200 gms daily till symptom persists.
Avoid spices and take soft diet.
