What Causes Vomiting And Diarrhoea With Seizures Leading To Death?
my uncle has passed away recently and the big question my family has is what caused this. he was sick one day supposedly flu like symptoms he woke up had diarrhea and throwing up and then had 4 seizures in a row by the time the paramedics showed up there was nothing they could do for him.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The symptoms are non-specific to identify the cause of death. Flu like symptoms if caused by bird flu or swine flu can be fatal. Else a simple flu other than swine flu or bird flu is unlikely to cause death. The other possibility is that of presence of some other co-existing disorder that could have caused death. A complete pre-existing history is required to exactly identify the cause of death. In addition, a post-mortem examination is required to know the cause of death. I suggest you to consult your treating doctor for full clinical details and post-mortem details (if already done) to know the cause of death.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
