What Causes Vomiting And Dry Mouth?

my 17 year old grandson has been throwing up for the past week only in the morning, he says he doesn t feel sick just all of a sudden he has to throw up then today it has happened about 4 times. he says even though he had just gotten through eating in about 10 minutes he feels like he is really hungry and then he gets a real dry mouth and then the throwing up starts. after he throws up he feels fine. he doesn t want to go to the dr. but i am really ready to make him go. i just can t figure out what it could be

Hi,

This can be due to various reasons like brushing in the morning using a toothpaste which may be triggering this and toothpastes can cause it in some patients.

There is a 2nd possibility of gastrointestinal infection. It can be also from stress or anxiety or a lack of good sleep.

So for dryness in the mouth is concerned it is due to loss of fluids from vomiting. However, to say precisely the cause we need his case history first and then a final conclusion can be drawn out. Send his further details whether he feels it after brushing, if he is tense or if he feels pain or something else so that appropriate treatment can be initiated.
