Hi,
Acute onset of
vomiting is most commonly due to an infection of the GI tract, usually viral and it will run its course if this is the case.
In some persons, it is not and the vomiting may be due to another cause. If she is experiencing any significant
abdominal pain then she should be assessed by her doctor.
If there is no pain then you can continue with the
Pedialyte, no solids till she is ready.
Small amounts can be given but wait for 1 to 2 hours after the last vomitus to see if the stomach settles.
Give the 5 MLS at that time, wait 5 mins to see if she appears to get
stomach upset, if there is none, then another 5 and so on.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
