Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yesterday, I left work with severe abdominal pain. I came home, threw up and went to bed. After getting sick, it relieved some pressure, though I still have pain in my lower left side. I took it easy last night but definitely felt better. However, the pain is persisting and it has been 24 hours.
Hello dear, understand your concern. Following are the causes of left lower abdominal pain: I think you are suffering from gastroenteritis. 1. Diverticulitis 2. Kidney stone 3. Urinary tract infection 4. Constipation 5. Ovulation pain, ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cyst if you are female 6. Inflammatory bowel disease: rare cause
Take following advice: 1. Take rest 2. Tablet meftal spas three times a day for three days. 3. Tablet Panmax -d 40 mg, three times a day, 30 min before meal. 4. Drink more fluid or take ORS formulation. 5. Consult the doctor if pain persist, test the CBC and urine report 6. Also go for Pelvic USG and Xray if nedded. Hope this may help you. Best regards. Dr. Sagar
