Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello, i and my gf had unprotected sex on 6th july. she consumed mpill within 7 hrs. she had her last period on 19 june. after taking tha pill she faced mild symptoms of vomiting and nausea. but till today no withdrawl bleeding. she used to have regular periods. now she had missed her periods by almost 4 days. is there is any chance of getting pregnant. plss help.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, she might be pregnant. You had unprotected Intercourse in Fertile period of her cycle. And emergency contraceptive pills do have failure rate. Absence of withdrawal bleeding suggests that pill is not working. So wait for 1 week more, if she still doesn't get periods then consult gynecologist for termination of pregnancy. It is better to avoid unprotected Intercourse if you don't want pregnancy. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Thanks.
