General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are 2 main reasons your baby will vomit during feeding or immediately after burping:
- rushing when feeding, more air is ingested; plus he might move quickly from laying position to up, so this will provoke vomiting after burping.
- possible reflux which is common among babies. Should raise his head when sleeping. Or sometimes, altered intestinal flora can be presented with same symptoms.

Loose stool is not from ondansetron, but he is keeping the food and not vomiting. As his intestinal flora is altered, it is represented with loose stool. To me should :
- add oral probiotics
- run stool analysis to rule out intolerance plus culture to rule out candida infection
- change formula milk if you use formula milk
- or if breastfeeding, should culture your breast milk to evaluate if candida or other changes in its composition.

Hope this helps.
