What Causes Vomiting, Diarrhea And Stomach Pain After Eating Chicken Sandwich?

Hello, Two weeks ago I had what I thought was food poisoning. I had ate at a Wendy s and did not eat my entire chicken sandwich because after a few bites I had a bite that tasted like raw chicken. I vomited through out the evening and had bad diarrhea and bad stomach pain, however it only lasted til the next day and then a week later I started feeling sick after I had breakfast. I again vomited once and now I have had diarrhea for a solid week, three days of this week was severe and now its just about once or twice a day and my stomach is very nauseated. Today for lunch I had grilled chicken with a salad and it also had mushrooms and cheese on the chicken. I did not have any diarrhea or nauseasness until after eating lunch. Can you give me any idea as to what would or might be going on? thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

This sounds like gastroenteritis or food poisoning. If you do not have a fever or blood in your stools, you can simply wait it out, rehydrate with carbonated fluid and imolope/imodium.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
