Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Vomiting, Dizziness And Nausea While Treating Yeast Infection?
My sister has been throwing up about 5times a week, especially 1hour after eating, gets dizzy, and nauseous. She has also has a yeast infection that doesn t seem to be able to go away by antibiotics. She started a no yeast, sugar, and dairy diet a month ago. She is feeling worse now than ever
Yeast infections are caused by a fungus so if she is using antibiotics, then this would the reason that it is not improving. Antibiotics can also cause nausea and vomiting in some persons though there are other causes of this symptom.
GERD (gastroesophageal reflux), the side effect of medication, infection, high blood sugar, liver or kidney disease, pregnancy can also cause these symptoms. She should be assessed to find the cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
