What Causes Vomiting Followed By Diarrhea?
My son has been feeling bad most the day and starting vomiting followed by diarrhea both are water liquid. He ate a sausage biscuit that was left on the counter from breakfast until close to lunch. I am assuming it is food poisoning but wanted to make sure it wasn t a virus that could be contagious to the rest of the family.

Hello,
It can't be said for sure if the symptoms come from intoxication or from a virus. Normally you may need a stool test to see the origin of it.
Taking loperamide and Reglan is not advisable because your body needs to get cleared from toxins or virus.
