What Causes Vomiting In A Child?

Baby s age is 8yrs.she is vomiting after eating anything and she has a stomach pain with this.Igave her 5ml nor metrogyl syrup at 9.10am....but she is not good .after that she vomitted tro times .after drinking electrol water and muri ....now she is sleeping..what should i do now?is the doze was sufficient?

Thanks for trusting healthcaremagic for your health issues.

I understand your concern.
Childrens are kept away from antibiotics (metrogyl) till confirm bacterial or amoebic infection is diagnosed. There is no need to give metrogyl syrup to her.
If she has no fever and diarrhea, Electral water (WHO approved) and domperidone suspension 0.25 mg/kg body weight are given to control vomiting.
Within 24 hour if vomiting is not stopped you should consult pediatrician.
