Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My newborn granddaughter is vomiting bile The ultrasound was normal. They're giving her meds and she has to stop vomiting for 24 hours before she can go home. Drs said it was due to the baby coming out too fast, is this true? I've never heard of this. They said she came out so fast that there wasn't enough time for all the fluids to squeeze out. Is that true? What is this a sign of? Intenstinal or bowel blockage? Should they do an upper GI? They were going to do it but don't want to expose her to radiation if they don't have to (hence the meds) Is this an indication surgery will be needed?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, what ever reasons being given for the vomiting would be questionable, but in my opinion if the condition is persisting then this may need some immediate investigation, that is the only way to know the reason, take care.
