What Causes Vomiting In A Toddler?

My son aged 3yrs having vomiting in one or two days interval.2days back he had fever along with vomiting after that loose motion(but had bad smelled stool 2times a day).Dr.has prescribed z & d dry syrup,pro-wel and taxim o frote 100mg dry syrup and having these for last 3 days.Today after having dinner again he did vomiting.Can you tell me is it a side effect of a medicine?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Z &dis a combination of microelements and vitamins. It doesn't have any side effects only substitutes the minerals lost.
I don't prefere pro wel due to significant side effects of muscle stiffnes and contractions.
Taxim is cefixime, I personally dont prefere it in gastroenteritis.
