What Causes Vomiting Of Clear Mucus In Children?

MY DAUGHTER IS VOMITTING CLEAR WHAT LOOKS LIKE POSSIBLE MUCUS. SHE DOESN'T SHOW ANY OTHER SYMPTOMS. NO CAUGHING OR BREATHING ISSUES. NO RUNNY NOSE. THE FIRST TIME WAS A WEEK AGO SUNDAY AND TODAY HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE. SHE HAS BEEN DOING IT ALL DAY. WHAT CAN BE THE CAUSE AND SHOULD I TAKE HER TO SEE A DOCTOR. NO FEVER TO FOLLOW.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Vomiting of mucus can actually be increased mucus discharge from mouth.
Absence of other symptoms like fever, coughing, breathing disorders and running nose rules out possibility of upper respiratory tract infections.
In order to find out the cause of increased mucus discharge it is important to know the age of the child.
The mucus discharge could be due to inability to swallow saliva.
I suggest you to consult your pediatrician for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.
