What Causes Vomiting, Pale Hands And Visible Eyelid Veins In A Child?
Hi... my child is 5 weeks old. Today she started vomiting her bottles up. I m having great difficulty trying to wake her up for her bottle. Is that a sign of dehydration? And what does it mean when they go pale in their hands? Plus her eye lids have red veins showing. Pls advise... super stressed mom.. many thanks
Hi.. Welcome to HCM.. thanks for the query.. does she vomit a like frank milk or like curdled milk? is it like a small quantity or large? vomiting excess milk is common in infants and also like partially digested milk as the reflux from stomach into upper part is more common.. best thing is to burp her after every feed.. if she is on formula feeds better to make her burp in the middle of feed also.. as long as she is not crying excessively and sleeping properly and passing urine frequently in light yellow colour or transparent no need to worry...and no need to give any medication also. if any of the above are not there take her to a pediatrician.. no need to give anything other than milk.. hope this information helps you.. take care..
