What Causes Vomiting Sensation While On Febrex Plus And Cepodem For Tonsillitis?

I am having tonsils since 4 days and fever that came down today only. I feel very much difficult to swallow anything. Doctor advised of Febrex plus 500, cepodem XP 325 and Pantosec 40. Now whenever I have my food... My stomach get filled within 2-3 spoons of anything and there s feeling of vomiting also.. Since 2 days I m facing diarrhea problem and little cramps in my stomach

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea along with cramps seems to be due to side effect of antibiotic Cepodem that contains active ingredient Cefpodoxime and antibiotics can at times kill the good bacteria present in intestine along with harmful bacteria and can disrupt the complex functioning of the intestines and causes the following symptoms..
The symptoms are generally transient and will resolve once the antibiotic intake is stopped, but in case if the symptoms are severe consult your treating physician and get evaluated and he can reduce the dose of the medicine or change the medicine..
As of now you can take loperamide to reduce loose motions, ondensarton to reduce vomiting and take plenty of fluids and drink oral rehydration salts..
Take a semisolid diet and more of yoghurt, rice, banana and ccereals..
