What Causes Vomiting Up Of Blood?

My littpe brother has a bone desiese called ostiogenesusinperfecto & we were palying basketball & he got hit in the part of his throat where the adams apple is . he spit a little blood faintly a couple times . he can swallow breath & eat .. Is it broken? Should we go to the hospital
