What Causes Vomiting While Suffering From GERD And IBS?

I was diagnosed with GERD, gastritis, IBS, and esophagitis. I am taking omeprazole, ranitidine, ondansetron and dicyclomine. For the past week I have been vomiting bile like every other day, feel nauseated and can only eat cream of wheat and chicken soup. Went to the ER they gave me Phenergan and send me home. They did do a CT Scan and the only findings were enhancement of both kidneys, and 9 mm common duct, consider postcholecystectomy common duct dilation. I don t understand the findings since I was in pain nauseated and vomiting.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Only drugs are not sufficient to control symptoms of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
You need to follow these lifestyle modifications for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
2. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals.
3. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
4. Along with omeprazole, also take levosulperide.
5. Go for walking after meals.
6. Quit smoking and alcohol if you are having these habits.
7. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
8. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in bed to prevent nausea and vomiting.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
