What Causes Vomiting While Suffering From Diabetes?
Our son is 29, a type 1 diabetic, and has been throwing up for the last 18 hours. He s not running a fever, feels awful, and his pulse is at 120 beats per minute right now. He s been able to give himself his insulin shots and is keeping a little bit of Gatoraide Zero down......it s his pulse rate that bothers me. What more can I (his mom) do for him? You should take your son to an emergency as soon as possible. As a pulse of 120 in vomiting is a serious issue especially in a diabetic. He needs a complete evaluation for hypoglycemia or ketoacidosis. Please do not delay.
