What Causes Vulva Area Pain With Itching?

Hi, I've been having this recurring burning/sharp pain that will last a quarter of a second and then go away as fast as it came in my vulvar area for the last few days. There is no abnormal discharge and a little bit of itch. I'm not real sure what it could be, but I'm treating it as a yeast infection, what do you think?
