What Causes Warm Sensation And Pressure During Urination?

My husband has prostate cancer. PSA was 17 Gleason was 9. He had seed implant surgery on July 27, 2016. He is taking Tamsulosin .4mg once a day. He is now really having shard time urinating at night. He gets up every hour and struggles to get pee out. Sometimes there is a very warm feeling and pressure as the urine comes out. What can we do?

Radiation Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

Urine problems are quite a concern in patients with prostate cancer. I would like to evaluate him in detail, do a physical examination, imaging (PSMA PET scan) to assess disease status. The simplest way to evaluate disease status is by repeating PSA levels, when was the last PSA done and has he been on any treatment after July 2016. Based on these findings I would like to take things further, so I would advise please show to an oncologist and get your husband evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jatin Bhatia, Radiation Oncologist
