What Causes Warm Sensation In The Face And Head?

Regardless of room/ outdoor temperature, I will begin to feel my head getting warm and suddenly my face, head and upper body are dripping with sweat. The episodes last about 2-4 minutes then just stop. I am post menopause and these episodes are different from hot flashes due to menopause.
