What Causes Water Retention In The Lungs?

Hi 3 day back my cousin expired while he was under treated in gulag Devi hsptl Lahore . He was suffering in cuff since two month after xray and ultrasound dr said he had water inside his lungs so we send him to gulab Devi hsptl.dr took water sample and gilty on his neck sample and send for lab. He has 5 gilty on his neck and head and was suddenly appeared.on the day of death dr took water out from lungs 40 percent after that he start coughing swerely and trouble in breathing and after 9 hrs he suddenly death. We want know the cause of death

Hello sad to hear about cousin demise and hope the answer is useful to you.As you said your cousin had cough with a mass in neck which could be lymph node(ghoodod) and water in chest cavity could be pleural effusion.This clinical picture could be due to tuberculosis miliary which is common in our country or any cancer spreading to lung or primarily a lung cancer.Doctors were trying to diagnose the disease by sampling neck mass and fluid from lung cavity but illness was for more than 2 months and cancer or miliary T.B in a thin lean person has aggressive course leading to death
